CHESTER — The Town of Chester Police gave the community a gift on their 40th anniversary: their first annual Emergency Services Day, held Saturday, June 20, at Chester Commons Park.
The free event included demonstrations by Chester's fire and police departments, the New York State Police, the Orange County Sheriffs Department, and the Warwick Valley Humane Society, among many other agencies and organizations that shared their expertise with the public. The police aided local residents in making their child car seats were safely installed. They served up free hot dogs, soda, cookies and ice cream.
