Christopher Messina arrested for rape

GOSHEN — The Village of Goshen Police Department on Sept. 10, arrested and charged Christopher M. Messina, 24, of #84 Montgomery St. in Goshen with one count of rape in the first degree, a Class B felony.

The arrest was made after an investigation conducted by Det. Ryan Rich and Ptl. Matthew Giraldi.

Messina is alleged to have had forcible sexual intercourse with the 24-year-old victim at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, while she was visiting at his residence. Messina was arraigned before Town Justice Kimberly VanHaaster and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $25,000 bail pending a court appearance.
