Chester. Residents sought for Citizens Committee to review potential cannabis use in the town

| 15 Jul 2021 | 08:32

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed legislation in March legalizing adult-use cannabis in the State of New York. This legislation will have an impact on all local municipalities and their residents.

The Town of Chester has been approached by citizens who have voiced concerns about the contents of the new law and the potential impacts it may have. These citizens have expressed interest in forming a Citizens Committee in an effort to promote open discussions on this topic and provide a forum where town residents can have their voices heard.

If any residents of the Town of Chester have interest in joining this Citizens Committee, contact Town Clerk Linda Zappala at 845 469-7000 ext. 4 or email her at LZappala@townofchester.org.
