CHESTER — A large crowd of 300 or more attended the Chester 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Kiwanis 9/11 Memorial site.
Many members of the community were there along with firefighters, police, veterans, Boy and Girl Scouts and members of the Bellvale Community. The Chester Academy Brass Ensemble and Chorus performed admirably.
The names of those we lost on 9/11 were read aloud:
Thomas F. Dowd
Thomas P. Holohan, Jr.
Lynne I. Morris
Paul G. Ruback
Donald J. Tuzio
A bell tolled for them, and for all those who were victims of terrorism on that day at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pa. They also remembered victims of the Oklahoma City bombing.
