Why are you running for trustee?

I’m running for Village Trustee because I care deeply about Goshen and want to play an active role in the community’s future. I’m a lifelong resident who raised our two children, Jake and Alexa, in the village with my husband Jake.

Our family has benefited greatly from this community, and I want to give back. My goals are to strengthen infrastructure, modernize operations, and pursue grant funding that protects taxpayers and improves services. I am committed to transparent leadership that ensures residents feel heard and represented in decision-making. I believe in responsible financial management and thoughtful planning.

What are the top three things you aim to accomplish if elected?

First, strengthen water and sewer infrastructure to protect essential services and ensure sustainability. I would pursue state and federal grant opportunities to help digitize water and sewer maps for efficient planning.

Second, modernize DPW equipment while protecting taxpayers by prioritizing state and federal grants. Investing in modern multi-purpose vehicles, such as computerized combination haul and salt trucks, will streamline operations, reduce waste, and create long-term savings.

Third, ensure residents feel heard through open communication and transparent leadership. Local government works best when accessible, responsive, and engaged with the community.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?

As a lifelong Goshen resident, I am deeply connected to our community and invested in its future. I understand residents’ needs as someone who grew up here, raised a family, and runs a business here. I hold doctoral degrees in Integrative Medicine and a Masters in Social Work, where I gained grant-writing experience. I am results-driven, fiscally responsible, and committed to preserving Goshen’s character.

As a mother, I prioritize safety, clean water, and a secure environment where families can thrive for generations. I strongly support public safety and first responders, especially our dedicated local volunteers.
