Bring the kids, ages 3 to 12, to the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame on Oct. 26 for a fun-filled, old-fashioned Halloween celebration and walk through its spooky stable.

Participate in creepy crafts, play hauntingly fun games, and enjoy sweet treats. Decorate a headless horseman, spider mummy, or ghostly monster pumpkin to frighten off those Halloween spirits, and make a bat-styled candy box filled with sweet treats.

Pumpkins are limited and are first come, first served, so don’t be late. There will be a spooky skeletal horse toy for every child and refreshments for the entire family.

The spooky Halloween adventure is topped off with a heart-pounding ride on the museum's 3-D harness racing simulator. The museum's mascot, Hall of Fame Harry, will be there to pose for pictures with young gargoyles, ghosts, witches, pirates, super heroes and such.

Children are encouraged, to come in costumes of all kinds. The first 40 children pay $5 and receive a pumpkin to decorate. Bring your own pumpkin and for $3 and the museum will provide the spooky pumpkin decorations.

It's all made possible by...

ShopRite of Chester and Soons Orchard of New Hampton are providing the refreshments.

Soons Orchard and Manza Farms of Montgomery are providing the pumpkins.

Museum programs are made possible with support from the U.S. Trotting Association and the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund.
