Monroe. State police charge two NYC women for each stealing more than $1,000 in goods from Walmart

    On Saturday, Dec. 12, State Police responded to Wal-Mart in Monroe for a report of a larceny.

    The store’s loss prevention staff identified two women in the parking lot who left the store without paying for numerous items.

    Investigation revealed that Erika Vargas, 38, of Manhattan, and Brooke Lee, 34, of the Bronx, left the store without paying for several items.

    Police said Vargas stole merchandise in the amount of $1,229.97 and Lee stole merchandise in the amount of $1,006.95.

    Both Vargas and Lee were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

    They were both issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Monroe Court.
