SUNY Orange announces virtual admissions info sessions

SUNY Orange will be conducting daytime and evening virtual admissions information sessions on selected Tuesdays and Wednesday during the Spring and Summer to assist students in learning more about the College as they consider their academic options for the Fall amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The sessions will include a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer forum.

Interested students will have the opportunity to learn more about SUNY Orange’s academic degree programs, the financial aid process and how to register for classes.

Schedule

Sessions will be available throughout April, May, June and July, both during the day and in the evening.

Daytime sessions will be held at noon on the following Tuesdays (April 28, May 26, June 30 and July 28) and Wednesdays (May 6, June 3 and July 1).

Evening sessions will begin at 6 p.m. on the following Tuesdays (May 5, June 2 and July 7) and Wednesdays (May 27, June 24 and July 29).

“Many people are seeing their future much differently now than they did two months ago,” said Maynard Schmidt, SUNY Orange director of admissions and recruitment. “At this time, many people may be considering a career change or a new job. High school seniors may be rethinking their decision to go away to college, while current college students may be planning to stay closer to home.

“During our sessions, we’ll stress the quality academic experiences that our students enjoy, while also demonstrating why SUNY Orange is a local, safe and affordable higher education option,” Schmidt added.

The SUNY Orange Fall semester will begin in August, while registration for the College’s Summer sessions is currently open for students interested in taking a course or two prior to the Fall.

At present, the SUNY Orange Admissions staff is working remotely and is available to answer questions via email and phone.
