Robotics students have a 'stemtastic' time

FLORIDA — Kids were innovators in training at a STEM workshop held Dec. 27 at Robotics4U in Florida.
During the two-hour workshop, they made four products: Battlebots, Pom-Pom Lauchers, Stemtastic Cars, and Glow-In-Dark Slime.
They learned the chemistry of what makes things glow in the dark, and the physics behind their Pom-Pom Launchers. They applied Newton's Third Law of Motion when making their balloon Stemtastic cars. They discovered how a partially off-balance motor vibrates their Battlebots.
The youngsters were excited to know the science behind the vibrations of their parents' cell phones and their own electric toothbrushes.
After having fun with their self-made toys, they walked out of the workshop and into their life with greater insight into the world of science and technology.
Robotics4U offers robotics classes at three levels of engineering programs: junior, apprentice and senior.
