The Women’s Book Discussion will take place on Friday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This month’s discussion will be on “Domina” by Barbara Wood.

On Sept. 23, Pete Smith from Elsie’s Luncheonette and the Goshen Senior Club will be sponsoring a free senior barbecue starting at noon. This event is open to all Goshen seniors.

Also on Sept. 23, Walgreen’s will be sponsoring its annual flu shot clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those interested in getting their flu shot, please bring your Medicare card with you that day.

Last call for our fall barn dance, which will now be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 5 p.m. Anyone who attended last year knows that this event is one you don’t want to miss! There will be a fabulous buffet, great music and dancing fun for all. The cost to attend is $20. per person and is limited to the first 60 people who sign up -- so don’t miss out on all the fun!

On Dec. 2, the center will be heading once again to the Wind Creek Casino (formerly the Sands Casino) for some fun. For those wishing to just go on this bus trip, the cost is $25, which includes $25 in slot play and round-trip transportation and driver tip. If anyone is interested, please see Bonnie.

Don’t forget to register for “Senior Space,” our new member management system, which will eliminate all the paperwork currently required for program registration and check-in! If you haven’t already done so, please see Bonnie to get your new key tag with a bar code, which will identify you when you check in each day at the senior center.
