Chester. The Kiwanis Club of Chester awards three scholarships

Kiwanis Club of Chester President Danielle August presented the organization’s annual scholarship awards at its meeting held Thursday, July 1, at Bishop Vaughn Hall.

The Chester Kiwanis Humanities Award was presented to Angelina Zaporojtsev. The young woman is involved in the arts and will be attending college in Indiana.

The Chester Kiwanis Vocational & Technical Award was presented to George Slicker. He will be attending SUNY Delhi for HVAC training.

The Key Club Service was presented to Tristan Brideweser, who was co-President of Key Club this year. He will be attending Purdue University. Tristan was unable to be present that evening.

“The Kiwanis Club of Chester would like to congratulate all the winner and wish them well on their future endeavors,” Kiwanis officials said in the press release announcing the awards. “We also thank the community of Chester and beyond for all their support they have given us over this past year. Your support enables us to be able to present these scholarships to such fine deserving people as they further their education.”
