Car ignites following crash on Route 17

Wallkill. Two-car rush hour collision results in one vehicle bursting into flames.

A two-car collision during the morning rush hour on Route 17 on Tuesday, Aug. 27, left both vehicles damaged and resulted in one catching on fire, police said.

The crash occurred just before exit 122 on the eastbound side of the highway.

There were no injuries, according to Trooper Steven Nevel, spokesman for the New York State Police at Monroe.

Nevel said further details, including the cause of the accident, were unavailable at this time.
