Martha A. Barbera of Goshen, and formerly of Glendale, N.Y., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at Park Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Care of Middletown. She was 93.
Martha was born on May 6, 1928, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Joseph and Fay (Sarricca) Tabona.
She was employed by New York Telephone as an Administrative Assistant for 25 happy years.
Martha is survived by her daughters: Catherine Burns, Filipa Magno and Jacqueline DeSantis (Arthur); her grandchildren: Nicole DeSantis, Stephanie DeSantis, Christina Manero (Anthony), Bernadette Burns, Jaclyn Ceparano (Donald), John Magno (Melanie) and Michael Magno (Katelin); as well as her great grandchildren: Anthony, Nicolette, James, Salvatore, Jack, Autumn, Anthony and Brooklyn.
Martha is pre-deceased by her beloved parents Joseph and Fay Tabona, her loving husband Ben Barbera and her dear son-in-law James Burns.
The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff of Park Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Care for the love and care they showed our mother during her time there.
Memorial Visitation will be Friday, Aug.13 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY with the funeral service being held at 7 p.m.
