Madeira L. Coviello of New Windsor passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 86 years old.
The daughter of Michael and Euna Babcock Legenos, she was born on Sept. 27, 1935, in Highland Falls.
Madeira was a nurse at Castle Point VA Medical Center in Wappingers Falls.
Survivors include her loving children: James Frank (Lois Varal) of Danville, Pa.; Christian Frank (Jennifer) of Benton, Arizona; Madeira Brickwood (Dale) of New Windsor; and Donna Coviello of Highland Mills; ten grandchildren: Marie, Madeira, Marlaina, Gwendolyn, Kimberly, Cassie, Edison, Eli, Choni and Ian: and her six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Madeira was predeceased by her beloved brothers: Michael “Sonny” Legenos and Carl Legenos.
Visitation and chapel service were held Oct. 28 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
