Hilde Goodwin passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at her home in Washingtonville. She was 88 years old.
Daughter of Heinrich Hanft and Anna Degand Hanft, Hilde was born on Jan. 29, 1933, in Bad Bocklet, Germany. She was the widow of Edgar T. Goodwin.
Survivors include her sons: Gregory Goodwin and his wife Laurie of New Windsor and Eric Goodwin and his wife Cathy of Chester; daughters Anna McAleavy and her fiancé Paul of Palmetto, Florida and Cindy Lebrecht and her husband Mike of Salisbury Mills; two sisters in Germany; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren with another on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held June 3 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was held June 4 at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville.
Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Washingtonville.
