Carolann Maney of Goshen, a life-long resident of Orange County, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at the age of 82 at Park Manor in Middletown surrounded by caring staff, as family was not allowed to be with her due to Covid-19 restrictions in New York State.

Carolann was born in Middletown on Oct. 12, 1938. She was the daughter of Anna K. (Evans) Clark and Roger E. Whitby.

She loved life, her family, music, the ocean, arts and crafts and cats. Anyone who knew her remembers her deep blue sparkling eyes and great big smile.

Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her daughters Robbielynn Maney and Lori Maney Lentini; her grandchildren: Brian Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Nicole Lentini and James Lentini. She is also survived by her sister Linda Loudermilk and predeceased by her brothers Roger (Skip) Whitby and Rod Whitby. Carolann was blessed with the love of her goddaughters, Shari Jenkins Roosa, Colleen Kelly, Bonnie Krafve and her nieces, nephews and cousins.

She enriched the lives of many with the kindness she gave along the way. Whether you called her Mom, Grandma, Mott-ma, Dee-Ma, Aunt Carol or just Carolann, as a friend or relative she could be relied upon to give you a hug, smile and anything else you needed. Our lives will never be the same without her, but we are comforted by holding on to the love and support she so generously gave to us every day of her life.

Carolann was a special lady. We are comforted knowing she is with so many family members and friends who are in heaven greeting her.

She was a religious woman who loved Angels her entire life, now she gets to spend eternity as one. Until we get to heaven and see her again, we know she is at peace there and singing her favorite song, “My Way,” with Frank Sinatra.

Services are being held at Donovan’s Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen, on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m., with a service at 4:30 p.m.
