Anthony D. Lasaponara of Goshen entered into rest on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was 73 years old.
Anthony was born Jan. 9, 1948, in Manhattan. He was the son of Antonio and Angelina (Masco) Lasaponara.
He married Rosa Mazzuca.
He was employed by Rienzi and Sons and Retired as a driver with TAM in Goshen.
Tony was a member of the Cataract Engine and Hose Company in Goshen for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Lasaponara; his children: Jennifer VanderMark, Angela Kinne, son-in-law Donald Kinne and Anthony Lasaponara III; his grandchildren Paulie Vandemark, Liana Rose and Avery Rose Kinne; and brothers and sisters: Marie Fazzino, Joseph Lasaponara and Carmela Cosh. He was pre-deceased by Louie Lasaponara.
Visitation was held March 11 fat Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church St. in Goshen. A firematic service was conducted by the Cataract Engine and Hose Company.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate his life was held March 12 at St. John’s Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to the American Cancer Association.
