Jazz. Hudson Valley Jazz Festival runs Aug. 11-15

    The annual Hudson Valley Jazz Festival gets underway this year during the second week of August. The event highlights local musicians deserving of wide recognition.

    The following is a partial list of events on tap. More events will likely be added, and this schedule will be updated as information becomes available.

    Aug. 11 at 7 p.m.: Tribute to Bill Evans Session presented by UpFront Exhibition Center, Port Jervis.

    Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.: The Hudson Valley Jazz Ensemble presented by Sugar Loaf’s On the Lawn Concert Series located across from the caboose.

    Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.: Skye Jazz featuring Mark Sganga presented outdoors by the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center Summer Concert Series.

    Aug. 14 at 4 p.m.: The Big Band Sound presented by the Moffat Library and Friends at Vern Allen Park off Route 94, Ahern Drive, Washingtonville.

    Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.: The Eric Person Quartet presented by the Village of Warwick Concert Series at Stanley Deming Park, Warwick.

    Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.: Cloudburst presented by the Village of Greenwood Lake at Thomas Morahan Park, Greenwood Lake.

    Aug. 14 at 8 p.m.: The Mike Jackson Trio presented by Mattingly’s Tavern, 13 N. Main St. Florida.

    Aug 15 at 5 p.m.: The Altered Nine presented by The Brewery at Orange County Hops, 771 Route 52 Walden.

    Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.: Ciampa-Levin-Siegal presented by the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival, with space donated by The Warwick Historical Society at the Buckbee Center. 2 Colonial Ave., Warwick.
