Labor council endorses Neuhaus for re-election

    — The Hudson Catskill Central Labor Council, which represents more than 35,000 union members and their working families in Orange and Sullivan counties, has endorsed Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus for a second term.
    The council joins the Hudson Valley Building and Trades Council, the Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation AFL-CIO, Uniformed Firefighters Association of the New York City Fire Department, Uniformed Fire Officers Association of the New York City Fire Department, the Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association (PBA) and the Orange County District Attorney’s Investigators Union in endorsing Neuhaus.
    “I’m grateful for the support of the Hudson Catskill Central Labor Council,” Neuhaus said. “Our labor unions should be commended for representing the collective interests of employees. I have built a strong relationship with the local labor unions and would look forward to working with them in a second term as county executive.”
    Neuhaus graduated from Monroe-Woodbury High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Mary College and a master’s degree from Marist College. He also serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves currently assigned to a Naval Special Warfare Group. Neuhaus and his wife, Rachel, live in Chester with their four children.
