A message from Supervisor Robert Valentine about fire at town highway garage

The Town of Chester would like to send out a special thank you to the Chester fire department and the surrounding area fire departments, EMS personnel and Police. We are very grateful for their service. We unfortunately had a pretty serious fire at our highway garage on Laroe Rd. Thanks to a quick response much of the town equipment and building were saved. No loss of life or injury. Thanks to our highway Supervisor Anthony Laspina and crew who came to move all the trucks and equipment from the building. Also thanks to Village Mayor Tom Bell, and Supervisor Jerolomin of Blooming Grove for showing up at the scene to pledge their support.

The Chester Town board is committed to our highway department and pledge our support to rebuild and replace this vital service.

Thank you.

Robert Valentine

Chester Town Supervisor
