Village of Goshen plans budget hearing, Spring Festival

GOSHEN — The Goshen Village Board conducted the following business at its March 11 meeting:
Budget hearing — The board scheduled a public hearing on the 2019-20 budget at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at Village Hall, 276 Main Street.
Parade clean-up — Board members praised the work of the Department of Public Works for the great job they in cleaning up Goshen after storms that hit the area the last couple of weeks.
“They worked like bandits getting Goshen cleaned-up,” said Trustee Pete Smith.
“I’d like to commend the DPW who came in at 5 a.m. on Sunday, then set-up for the parade,” said Mayor Mike Nuzzolese. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held, Sunday, March 10.
Spring Festival — The board approved the Goshen Leo Club's Spring Festival, to be held on Saturday, April 27 (rain date Sunday, April 28) at the Village Green on Main St.reet. The festival will run from noon to 2 p.m.
Volunteers will arrive at 9 a.m. to set up stations and activities. Planned games include corn hole, kan jam, relay races, and more. On hand also will be face painting and sidewalk chalk, as well as craft stations for the children.
The Leo Club is a volunteer service organization at Goshen Central High School.
