Losee is invested in the village for the long haul

To the Editor:

Village of Goshen residents will soon have the opportunity to elect two trustees. One of the candidates, Rachel Losee, is somewhat of a newcomer to Goshen. I met Rachel nearly two years ago at a preschool open house. We continued to cross paths in the weeks that followed, and I was immediately impressed by her sense of civic duty.

Rachel has involved herself in multiple organizations, including volunteering at Goshen Area Parent Nursery School as the special events committee chairperson and Girl Scouts. She has helped to organize community events and projects and volunteers with her children at the Food Pantry.

Rachel is a connector. She has an ability to bring together people and resources to create a successful outcome, often with limited or no funds. She is a mother to two young children and a new homeowner. I cannot think of a person more invested in the long-term well being of the community than Rachel.

I will not be voting, as I’m a Town of Goshen resident, but I wanted to help inform others about this amazing woman. As someone who spends much of their day in the village, I’m excited by the ideas that Rachel has, and I hope her neighbors will support her in the election on March 19.
