GOSHEN — Each year Chabad of Orange County holds a grand Purim celebration that is open to all.
This year‘s theme is "Purim in the Jungle," which will include face-painting, a drum circle, a jungle feast, Purim baskets for everybody, banana splits, jungle crafts, Megillah reading, and, of course, lots and lots of hamentashen (a traditionally triangular filled cookie). Join the fun at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the Goshen Senior Center, 100 Trotter Circle, Goshen.
“Purim is a holiday of joy," said Rabbi Meir Borenstein. "No matter the theme, the idea is to be joyful on this special day. Our celebration is lively and inclusive. One people remember for many years after.”
The cost is $6 per person, with $1 off for every attendee who comes in costume. The cost is $18 to become a sponsor.
