CHESTER — The annual fish and chips fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Chester, will be held on March 8 from 4-7 p.m. at the Chester Academy on Hambletonian Avenue in Chester. The Fish and Chips Dinner is its annual first Friday of Lent dinner which consists of a lightly fried fish, French fries, and coleslaw along with brownie a la mode for dessert. Coffee, tea and lemonade round out the meal. The dinner is catered by Tastefully British, a company with more than 40 years of frying fish and chips. They continue to hand batter each piece. This fundraiser helps to support many local programs for the Kiwanis Club of Chester, and provides an opportunity for friends and neighbors to enjoy a well-planned meal and time to socialize. Tickets for the Annual Chester Kiwanis Fish and Chips dinner are available. The cost is $16 for adults, $13 for seniors 65+ and children 12 and under. They can be purchased from any Chester Kiwanian or call Danielle August at 845-800-8622. You can also purchase chances for the Lotto scratch off lottery tickets. Tickets are $1.00 each and 8 for $5.
