Gordon R. Beers of Goshen, N.Y., dies at age 76

Gordon R. Beers of Goshen, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019. He was 76.

Son of James and Inez (Pittaluga) Beers, he was born Aug. 14, 1942, in Middletown, N.Y. He was a lifetime Orange County resident and president of Haas Plumbing and Heating, Salisbury Mills, N.Y. Gordon was a beloved husband, dedicated father, devoted grandfather, and loved his family above all else.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Beers, at home; children, Catherine Turner and husband, Andrew, of Circleville, N.Y., Timothy Beers and wife, Lisa, of Walden, N.Y., and Matthew Beers and wife, Julia, of Circleville, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Hailey, Lauren, Benjamin, Luke and Leianna.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Inez Beers.

Visitation was held Jan. 11 at the Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Jan. 12 at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Goshen. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery.
