Orange County offers variety of celebrations for the new year

GOSHEN – From dance parties to black-tie affairs, there’s a festive event for everyone to ring in the New Year in Orange County, officials said in a press release.

According to the release, people can bring in the new year by visiting a local brewery for live music and craft beverages, or dress to impress at a gala serving gourmet meals, cocktails and breakfast to-go.

“Kick off the New Year in Orange County,” Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana said. “Count down to 2019 as you dine and dance the night away. You’ll find great lodging options convenient to every celebration.”

If you are looking for something special to do on New Year's Eve, the county says you should make plans now because reservations or tickets are required for all of the following celebrations:

New Year’s Eve Dinner at Silvio’s Villa, 274 Route 94S, Warwick, 1-10 p.m.

Wrap up 2018 with a candle-lit dinner. Offering selections from the restaurant’s 2018 Winter Menu, indulge in a sampling of ala carte items.

Foodies & Moodies: Monday Music Special New Year’s Eve Dinner at The Grange, 1 Ryerson Road, Warwick, 6-8:30 p.m.

Start the week and end the year with an intimate dining and entertainment experience. The Grange’s special five-course prix fixe dinner features fresh and local ingredients prepared in the restaurant’s distinctive signature style. Dine while enjoying music from a well-rounded lineup of pianists.

New Year’s Eve Dinner at Cedar Lake Estate, 1 Team USA Way, Port Jervis, 7-11:30 p.m.

Gather for cocktails before feasting on chef Rebecca Weitzman’s thoughtfully prepared six-course plated dinner with complimentary beverage pairings. Plus, enjoy a midnight toast to ring in the New Year.

New Year’s Eve Midnight Gala at the Thayer Hotel, 674 Thayer Road, West Point, 7 p.m. – 2 a.m.:

Explore the Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point with the venue’s annual New Year’s Eve gala. Enjoy a gourmet cocktail hour and four-course dinner before ending the evening with a champagne toast and decadent desserts. Reservations required.

New Year’s Eve Gala at Anthony’s Pier Nine, 2975 U.S. Route 9W, New Windsor, 7 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.:

Live music, deluxe cocktails, and a gourmet three-course meal are in store at the Hudson Valley’s biggest party of the year. Ring in 2019 with a champagne toast before snagging your refreshing breakfast to-go bag. Reservations required.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade Party at Studio 845, 360 Route 211 East, Middletown, 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.:

Celebrate the opening of the Hudson Valley’s newest event center with an unforgettable night of food, drinks, and dancing. Tickets required.

New Year’s Eve Keg Drop Party at Pennings’ Farm & Market, 161 South Route 94, Warwick, 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.:

Dance the night away as you count down to the New Year at Pennings’ 5th annual keg-drop. The funky foursome Crowd Theory will be playing live music all night long. Party snacks for late night noshing and midnight champagne toast are included with admission.
