Cornerstone Theatre Arts announces 2019 open company auditions

GOSHEN - The Cornerstone Theatre Arts Company is scheduling open auditions on Jan. 12-13 for its upcoming shows, according to the group.

The auditions will take place at the Goshen Music Hall at 223 Main Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those dates and appointments are not needed, according to the group.

The company is seeking adult men and women, ages 21 and above, for the stipend paying roles.

Those auditioning should have a prepared, memorized, and rehearsed, monologue that is from 1-3 minutes in length and can come from any genre, according to the group.

All auditioners should also bring a photo and resume, according to the group.

The auditions are for six, separate, productions from February through November.

The shows include; "Baseball: America’s Game," "Proof," "Summer Shakespeare," "Flirting with the Deep End," "Twelve Angry Men," and more.

The group said it is casting six to eight shows during this audition, and all the adult roles are open.

Individual directors may ask for cold readings after the prepared monologue, the group said.

Cornerstone Theatre Arts is committed to producing high quality plays of historical, cultural, social, and educational significance, and is also dedicated to producing and celebrating the works of William Shakespeare for audiences of all ages and offering theatre workshops for theatre artists, the release said.
