Former Goshen athlete supports school expansion

    To the Editor:
I am a current Goshen resident and a Goshen High School 2008 graduate. I went through the entire Goshen school district and was a two-sport athlete during my four years at the high school.
As a class A school with a growing population, this proposed capital project is absolutely necessary. The high school is too small and not up to par in many ways compared to neighboring towns/districts. Small/old classrooms, auditorium and gymnasiums with outdated technology aren't doing our current and future students any good.
As an athlete, our facilities and fields are below average to say the least; change is very necessary. We need much better to keep up with and challenge our competitors. Also, The high school parking lot is way too small for teachers, students and buses on a daily basis. Parking lot and building expansion will be a breath of fresh air to all.
The design of the project is great and it appears to be financially sound. All of the current and future students will excel with the changes and improvements to come.
Matt Milnamow is a fantastic architect and I support him and everyone else involved with this project. Goshen surely deserves it.
