— Junior Zack Foley and sophomore Erin Smith are the Goshen Gladiator Student-Athletes of the Month for January.

Zack Foley

With nine games in January, Zack has amassed some pretty incredible numbers for the Boys Varsity Basketball team. He has averaged 25 points per game, with five assists and four rebounds over that span.

Zack scored a season-high 35 points in an overtime win against Warwick on Jan. 12. The Gladiators were down 12 points with 5:30 left in the game and tied it at the end of regulation. They went on to win the game 70 to 64. The Gladiators will also be relying on Zach this spring season, as Zack is a returning captain and a five-time member of the varsity boys golf team.

In the classroom, Zack is no stranger to success. Zack is enrolled in Pre-calculus Honors and boasts a 90 overall GPA.

Erin Smith

In January, standout sophomore captain Erin Smith averaged 20 points per game for the girls varsity basketball team. Scoring points and leading her team are nothing new for Erin, a two-time starter in only her sophomore year.

Erin Smith was named to the All-Tournament First Team this past month as Goshen hosted its annual George McGinnis Holiday Basketball Tournament.

In the classroom, Erin continues to impress: holding an average no less than a 90 in any of her classes. Her overall GPA is a 93.
