— The Kiwanis Club of Chester will hold its fish and chips fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at the Chester Academy, 64 Hambletonian Ave., Chester.

The event is the club's annual first Friday of Lent dinner, which consists of a generous portion of lightly fried fish, French fries, and coleslaw along with brownie a la mode for dessert. Coffee, tea and lemonade round out the meal.

The dinner is catered by Tastefully British, a company with more than 40 years of frying fish and chips. They continue to hand batter each piece.

This fundraiser supports many local programs of the Kiwanis Club of Chester while offering an opportunity for friends and neighbors to enjoy a well-planned meal and time to socialize.
