Helen P. Sullivan of Goshen, N.Y., dies at age 89

Helen P. Sullivan, a resident of Goshen, N.Y., and Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away on Feb. 5, 2018. She was 89.

Daughter of the late Elizabeth and George Priday, she was born April 27, 1928, in Brooklyn.

She was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth G. Sullivan; the beloved mother of Daniel F. and his wife, Mary, of Goshen, Kenneth G. and his wife, Lisa, of Madison, N.J., Richard P. and his wife, Mary Jean, of Carmel, N.Y., George P. of Brooklyn, and Elizabeth Anne (Lizanne), at home.

She was the fond grandmother of Daniel F., John C. (Jack) and Joseph K. of Goshen and Marisa S., Cara E. and Juliana G. of Madison, New Jersey. She was the loving sister of the late Ethel Gully, Mary Duffy, George J., Joseph E., William T. and Richard E. Priday. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Goshen and a life-long parishioner of St. Ephrem's Catholic Church Church in Brooklyn.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen. Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, Long Island, N.Y., following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Breadline, 135 West 31 St., New York, New York 10001 (stfrancisnyc.org/lieu.asp).
