GOSHEN — The Keys of Goshen Public Piano Project will return this year, Mayor Kyle Roddey recently announced, assisted by a fundraising auction to be held in February.
The Keys project takes in used pianos for local artists to paint, led by creative inspiration to turn each piano into a unique work of art. The pianos are then placed throughout downtown Goshen for all to enjoy and play.
Illuminate Goshen brings this annual project to fruition by raising funds. This year's fundraiser is an auction from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at the Goshen Music Hall, 223 Main St., Goshen. Attendees will have a chance to bid on several of the 2017 pianos through a silent auction, with the winners to be announced at 7:45 p.m.
The event is free but with a suggested donation of $25. There will be wine, soda, and snacks in addition to live acoustic guitar from Goshen resident Keith Roddey.
There are also four sponsor levels for individuals and businesses who would like to support this year's project:
Key Sponsor: $100
