— Chester Town Supervisor Alex Jamieson recently addressed some concerns over the Greens at Chester, a proposed development that's been in the works for a very long time.

Anyone may buy a home there when the subdivision is complete, he said. An area realtor is handling sales, he said.

"First this development was approved and through the planning and zoning process back in 1997 and 2002," Jamieson said in a statement. "There was a lawsuit which was settled back in 2010."

He said the site plan calls for 250 single-family homes and 160 duplex homes, with no condominiums allowed.

"All properties will pay full taxes," Jamieson said. "They have contacted a local real estate company to market to public."

He said anyone with questions can email him at or call his cell at 845-325-6409.
