— Christmas is coming! And the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen is opening its doors and inviting the community in to welcome this joyous holiday in song.

The church, located in the heart of the village at 33 Park Place, is having a holiday sing-along on Sunday, Dec. 10, in the sanctuary. Everyone in the community is invited to come and join in singing old favorite Christmas carols — or, if preferred, just listen to them.

Enjoy the rich ambiance of this beautiful church, with striking Tiffany stained glass windows, festooned with traditional Christmas decorations.

Accompanying the carol singing on the historic pipe organ will be accomplished musician Jonathan Hall, Minister of Music at the church.

“Bring the whole family to this enjoyable free family activity. We’re hoping that everyone will feel the real spirit of Christmas,” said Hall. “Hopefully, this lovely Christmas event will become a tradition in the community.”

The sing-along begins at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary. The festivities, including refreshments, will continue until about 5 p.m. The event is free.

“Come join us for a fun, relaxing, casual get-together uniting our voices in song,” said Hall. “It’s a great way to greet the holiday season.”
