— College and universities from throughout the Northeast will send representatives to SUNY Orange’s Middletown and Newburgh campuses for the college’s annual Fall transfer fair

Transfer ambassadors from more than 80 different colleges and universities will be available to discuss the transfer options available to SUNY Orange students and members of the community. Sessions will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days, Wednesday, Nov. 8, on the Middletown campus (Shepard Student Center (first floor), and Thursday, Nov. 9, on the Newburgh campus (Kaplan Hall).

Representatives from 81 colleges and universities will be in the on Wednesday with 62 representatives set to attend the Newburgh event in Kaplan Hall on Thursday. To assure that its students enjoy smooth transition to four-year colleges and universities, and to establish a foundation for continued academic achievement, SUNY Orange maintains articulation (transfer) agreements with many academic institutions.

Some of the colleges have donated prizes that will be distributed as part of a prize drawing for those who attend. Their attendance fees will support the Academic Advising Completion Scholarship, a fund that assists selected SUNY Orange students in completing their degree.

Such agreements range from identifying selected courses that will transfer, to outlining SUNY Orange degree programs that will allow graduates to enter four-year colleges or universities with full junior status.

For more information on the transfer fair, call 341-4070. For specific information on SUNY Orange’s transfer agreements, call the Office of Educational Partnerships at 341-4760.
