— Anna Boese ushered in September with her pleasing melodic piano playing at the Harriman Fountain, in the heart of the Village of Goshen.

On Friday, Sept. 1, the sixteen-year-old treated onlookers to beautiful renditions by classical composers Greig, Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy. She completed the outdoor concert with Christian Sinding’s “Rustle of Spring,” which Anna revealed is her favorite composition.

The youngest of five children, Anna has lived in Goshen her entire life. She is entering her junior year at Goshen High School.

Is music in this accomplished artist's future?

Music will always be a part of my life, but it won’t be my career," she said.

Well then, what will the future hold for her?

Anna said she’s planning to major in mechanical engineering. She and her parents, Adam and Liese Boese, are currently checking out college opportunities.

Anna has been studying piano for about 10 years. She also plays the violin in the chamber orchestra at Goshen High School.

At the conclusion of the concert, audience members congratulated Anna and thanked her for a delightful evening, complete with a blue sky overhead dotted with wispy clouds.
