Team members from ShopRite Supermarkets present a check for $110,500 to representatives from Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to empower them and enrich their experiences with hope, strength and joy. ShopRite stores throughout Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester Counties in New York collected donations at checkout from Sunday, April 16 through World Wish Day® on Saturday, April 29, a worldwide “Thank You” day that celebrates all Make-A-Wish medical professionals, donors, volunteers, sponsors, wish kids and families, and also commemorates the anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish in 1980.

Funds raised will support Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley’s mission to ensure that every child who qualifies for Make-A-Wish services is granted his or her fondest wish.

Participating stores include ShopRite of Bedford, ShopRite of Carmel, ShopRite of Chester, ShopRite of Cortlandt, ShopRite of Croton, ShopRite of Ellenville, ShopRite Fishkill, ShopRite of Greenway Plaza in Yonkers, ShopRite of Kingston, ShopRite of LaGrangeville, ShopRite of Liberty, ShopRite of Middletown, ShopRite of Monroe, ShopRite of Montgomery, ShopRite of Monticello, ShopRite of Newburgh, ShopRite of New Rochelle, ShopRite of New Paltz, ShopRite of Scarsdale, ShopRite of Poughkeepsie, ShopRite of Thornwood, ShopRite of Tuckahoe in Yonkers, ShopRite of Vails Gate, ShopRite of Wallkill, ShopRite of Warwick and ShopRite of White Plains.
