Edward Pavlich celebrates 50 years of service with ShopRite

Middletown manager started as a part-time food clerk

, N.Y. — Edward Pavlich of Port Jervis, N.Y., was recently honored for his 50 years of service at ShopRite.

The company recognized several longtime associates celebrating milestones ranging from 20 to 50 years at its annual Associate Anniversary Luncheon at the Thayer Hotel in West Point, N.Y., on June 8. The large group of ShopRite store associates who attended amassed a collective total of 5,405 years of company service.

Pavlich is manager at the ShopRite of Middletown, N.Y. He started as a part-time food clerk and quickly worked his way up.

He is a Vietnam War veteran and is actively involved with Vietnam War Veterans of America (VVA) Charter 140, and the VFW Post 160. He has also been a volunteer firefighter for Port Jervis House Co. No. 6 since the age of 18.
