The sixth annual Fillmore East 2017 Tribute Concert kicks off a fun-filled summer season at the Pennings Farm Market and outdoor beer garden.

Concertgoers can keep their dancing shoes on, or for that matter, take them off, as they enjoy Warwick’s favorite annual music festival, which takes place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 17.

On tap is a days’ worth of jammin' to classic rock-n-roll sounds performed by local bands and musicians paying tribute to influential music and artists, including the Allman Brothers, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead and more. This is a compilation of local bands and musicians bringing back authenticity to the performances of the original bands, and it's designed for all those who share a love for this music.

Guests will enjoy a community-style union of local musicians converging to celebrate an era of unmatched music. And they're encouraged to bring blankets and chairs — and don't forget the sunscreen — because Fillmore East is an outdoor concert with general admission lawn seating, as well as dancing.

The Grill will be open all day for lunch, dinner and snacks, and dining space will be available on picnic tables in the outdoor Beer Garden or inside the Farm Market, which offers a wide variety of food and beverages, plus an ice cream stand that's open all day.

The Pub and Beer Garden offer a full selection of craft beer and hard cider on tap and bottled, and wine by the glass. Soft drinks and bottled water are also available, and no outside food, beverages or coolers are permitted.

Performers will include The Peach Project, Some Guys and a Broad and Dead on the Tracks. The bottom line: Devoted fans of the fused elements of classic rock, bluegrass, country, improv jazz and instrumental jams can enjoy the show as they dance in the grass at the outdoor music venue.

Pre-sale general admission tickets, for $15 plus a service fee, are available online at until 5 p.m. on June 16. General admission ticket will be available for $20 at the gate on June 17.

The event takes place at Pennings Farm, 161 State Route 94 in Warwick. Suggested attendance is for those 21 years are up, who will be required to show a valid photo identification at the door.
