Girls gone kayaking

About three years ago, Chester resident Patty More was introduced to kayaking by her friend Mary Giorlando. She enjoyed it so much that she bought her own kayak and invited several good friends to an inaugural launch party. Since then, many in the grup purchased their own kayaks, and they've been paddling together ever since. They even have some members who have never been in a kayak but love the launch parties. They call themselves the GGK Club (Girls Gone Kayaking), but some male spouses are in the group, too. Pictured are club members at Glenmere Lake in May, back row (from left): Pat Rose, Rich Rose, Jeanne Tuzio (aka DJ Jazzy Jeanne), and Lisa Kessler, kneeling: Marie Dutra, Isabel Blanco, Cindy Smith, Lisa Contorino, Nicole Griffin, and Capt. Patty More. Missing from picture: Sue Healy, John Healy, Sue Bahren, Elena Coogan, Maria Arias, Nancy Nucifora,  Kristen Contorino, Mary Giorlando, Connie Caso, Rosemary Tuzio, and Kris Doyle.
