To veterans with love, from the children at GAPNS

The children in Marie Moran’s pre-kindergarten class at Goshen Area Parent Nursery School (GAPNS) made a grand gesture on Valentine’s Day to veterans. Their families donated gifts of candy, toiletries, activities, and more for hospitalized and homeless veterans, while the students created Valentines. This is a patriotic group, having mastered the Pledge of Allegiance this year. The donations were received by the United War Veterans Council, which hosted Valentine’s Day celebrations at Veterans’ hospitals in New York. The children were thrilled to learn this week that they received a box of goodies, including two new books for the class library, from friends at IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) as a thank you.
