Patricia M. O’Rourke

Patricia M. O’Rourke of Chester passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, at The Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation in Goshen. She was 77 years old.
The daughter of Thomas Payton and Mary Barron Payton, she was born Aug. 17, 1940, in the Bronx.
Patricia was the widow of John F. O’Rourke, who predeceased her in 2017.
Patricia worked as a teacher’s aide for the Warwick Valley Central School District.
She was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Business School in New York City and a member of St. Columba Church in Chester.
Survivors include her daughters: Eileen Fitzgerald and her husband Joseph of Monroe and Jennifer LeMieux and her husband William of Bayville; her son John P. O’Rourke and his wife Susan of Warwick; her sisters: Eileen Frain of Chester and Cathy Cioffi and her husband Fred of Mahopac; her four grandchildren: Abigael, Lauren, Meghan and Madeline; and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was predeceased by her brother-in-law Michael Frain.
Visitation was held April 25 at Smith Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated April 26 at Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.
Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
