Happy February — the shortest month of the year, yet always seems to feel like the longest!

On Monday, Feb. 13, the Goshen Senior Club will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Dessert Party starting at 12:30. So if you like desserts as much as I do…come down and enjoy some wonderful desserts!

On Thursday Feb. 16, at 12:30 – 2pm, we will once again have our Make and Take Craft Class. The cost of the class will be $5 to help defray the cost of materials. If anyone is interested in participating, please let Bonnie know ASAP so that we have enough supplies for each person attending.

The women’s book discussion will take place on Friday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This month’s discussion will be on “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt.

Soup and sandwiches will once again be available on Monday Feb. 27. The cost is $7.50 and if you anyone is interested in ordering please see Bonnie no later than Friday Feb. 23 by 1:30 p.m.

On March 28 the center will be hosting an AARP Defensive Driving Class which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for this class is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Anyone who is interested in attending please pre-register with Bonnie ASAP as the class is limited to 40 participants and will fill up fast. Please make checks payable to AARP and bring a bag lunch as there will only be a 30-minute break for lunch.

Please note that the Senior Center follows the Goshen Central School District inclement weather guidelines. If the Goshen Central School District is closed or is on a two-hour delay, the senior center will be closed for that day.
