Legoland protesters brave cold for their cause

Concerned Citizens for the Hudson Valley braved a frigid Saturday, Jan. 28, to promote their cause. About 30 steadfast souls marched on North Church Street and Route 207, carrying signs. Sandra Rothenberger of Chester, secretary for the group, works in Goshen. She said the water is not here, and that Goshen is giving Legoland preferential treatment. “Goshen has always denied permits for large housing developments," she said. "The town board denied a 32-house development where Legoland is going to build. They denied that, and two weeks later they approved Legoland — and, ‘Oh, we’ll change the zoning for you.’” (By Ginny Privitar)
