ALBANY — New York state environmental officials have released tentative fall hunting season dates for ducks and other migratory game birds.

Department of Environmental Conservation officials say they're releasing the tentative schedule for ducks, geese, woodcock, snipe and rails to give hunters time to plan in advance.

The fall seasons vary depending on the bird species and the region of the state. The complete list can be found on the agency's web site at www.dec.ny.gov.

Final hunting season dates are expected in late summer.
