— The pile of money is getting bigger, but the fabulously talented kids who will be representing Chester Elementary at the Odyssey of the Mind in the Worlds competition in Ames, Iowa, still need your help.

One way is to contribute through http://www.gofundme.com/8brfto, where the kids have already raised $2,000 toward their $15,000 goal (hey, airfare's not cheap!).

The Odyssey team held a coin-drop outside Shoprite last Wednesday. Folks were very generous, they report. They'll be there again this Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., so come out and support the team.

In addition, there will be a fundraising event at the Chester Diner to help raise funds to assist in the cost of this trip. Bring in this article — yes, the one you're reading now — and the diner will donate a portion of your check to the team.

They'll also be collecting baskets to raffle off at their Spaghetti Dinner on May 9. If you would like to donate a basket, email Cynthia Acevedo directly at sugarbees_retail@yahoo.com by May 1.

(Did we mention you can also go to www.gofundme.com/8brfto?)
