— Whether you throw strikes or gutter balls doesn’t matter. The annual Bowl For Kids' Sake is all about great food, music, prizes, fun and fellowship — and raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, a mentoring program for local children.

The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, at Bowling Time Lanes in New Windsor.

Join as a bowler, a team, or a corporate event sponsor. Then come to our bowling "thank you" party and enjoy.

Can’t be there? Be a virtual bowler and fundraise online, or simply make a donation to the cause that helps children beat the odds and grow up stronger.

Corporate sponsors include Fox Radio; Goldstein, Karlewicz and Goldstein; Hudson Heritage Federal Credit Union, Maser Consulting, Manza Family Farm, and others. The goal is $50,000. Schools, church groups, service clubs, community civic groups, families, friends, businesses, can form a fundraising team like the Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, and Walden Elementary School already have, with colorful team names like “Mines in the Gutter,” “Pin Pushers,” and “Livin’ on a Spare."
