On March 2, the youth group from the Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church participated in a world-wide event, SouperBowl of Caring. Pictured here are youth group members, from left, are Daniel Brenner, Kyle Crozier, Marc Mifsud and Zack Bauman. This organization raises awareness about world hunger. It is the eighth year the church’s youth group has participated in the program. The young people made two kinds of homemade soup which they sold and served to members of the congregation. Proceeds of $324, along with 78 canned items, will be donated to the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry. The group acknowledges Janet’s Quality Baked Goods in Florida, for donating all of the rolls served at the event.
