How to care for horses in winter
GOSHEN — Visit the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame for a presentation and activities related to understanding the effects of winter weather on horses.
The workshop will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the museum, located at 240 Main St. in Goshen.
Participate in experiments to better understand the stress that cold wet weather may impose on the body. To add to the fun, bring your favorite model horse and design a felt blanket of your own design, cut horse-styled paper snowflakes, and take a ride on the 3-D simulator. The cost is $5 for this event and free to current Pony Club, Scouts and 4H members.
