MONROE — For the second year in a row, Museum Village will be offering travel grants to assist schools with their transportation costs.
For 2017, these grants will be offered to Orange County school districts only. Funding is awarded on a case-by-case basis after a review of all application materials.
"Thanks to the sponsorships from our annual Spring Social Fundraiser, we are proud to offer these travel grants," said Michael Sosler, executive director. "For our spring fundraiser, we designate a portion of all sponsorships to this grant. For 2017, this grant is being offered to all Orange County Schools. This is our small way of giving something back to the schools who visit the museum. Applications for this grant can be found on our website under the "Educational Programs" "Schools & Groups" tab or by e-mailing me directly at msosler@museumvillage.org."
For schools planning on a spring 2017 visit, the completed application should be received by March 31, 2017.
Museum Village is a living history museum preserving a vast collection of eclectic, 19th century artifacts for educational purposes. Using these artifacts and reproductions, we provide hands-on experiences and exhibits illustrating the transition from a rural to an industrial culture and economy in America, provoking thought and discussion about history.
